The Chamber executive met at the regular monthly meeting with the main topic being the consolidation of an Atomic Days committee chaired by Shelly Schaffer. Bringing all the celebrations of Atomic Days back under the Chamber of Commerce umbrella has been very well received and incorporated by Parks and Rec and the Rodeo Association along with Butte County and all the Chamber of Commerce membership.
Atomic Days is our major summer event and it will be a “blast from the past” with Back to the Future theme this year to remind our visitors that this was the first city lit by atomic power and our proud history and connection to the INL and its nuclear research and development.
The networking meeting was cancelled this month due to many members at training and being out of town, also it coincided with a track meet at the BHS (which was a great success).
Atomic Days vendor spots are filling fast so if you are thinking of having a booth this year PLEASE contact Lacy King our executive assistant to secure your place in the park.
The next regular meeting of the Chamber of Commerce will be on Wednesday the 1st of June held at the Lost Rivers Medical center conference room at 8am. The networking meeting will be held on the 8th June for breakfast at Pickles Place, 8am. Atomic days will be a main topic so please join us and bring your ideas!
Have a great month in Business!
